WHO WE ARE:

In 2020, we had the idea to create PLAYDATE., a music discovery platform that aims to step out of the mainstream music sphere to highlight the thousands of talented underground artists who are on the verge of breaking through.

The PLAYDATE. team consists of six people, each of whom are music lovers, passionate people, and hard workers. Each individual brings a unique perspective to the table that has proven to be invaluable for PLAYDATE.

Furthermore, artist management is something we've been extremely passionate about since the inception of PLAYDATE. Through our teams past experience in management, the blog space, A&R work, and through the education we’ve received, we are well equipped in handling all sides of talent management.

Our journey to where we are today has been incredible. We are extremely grateful for the connections we've made with artists, producers, managers, curators, A&Rs, writers, videographers, photographers, graphic designers and music lovers. These relationships have allowed us to foster our own PLAYDATE. community, which has led us to where we are today.

Our Mission:

Discovering and featuring the thousands of rising artists who deserve to be heard will always be the number one priority of ours. Moving forward, the PLAYDATE. team will work towards expanding our audience across social media while maintaining our tight-knit community of music lovers.

  • Co-owner

    Mason is a recent graduate of Hobart and William Smith Colleges where he studied Political Science and played on the varsity lacrosse team. In 2020, Mason founded PLAYDATE. and has been the active Chief Executive Officer since. Aside from running PLAYDATE. he previously worked as an A&R intern at Artist Partner Group and Marketing intern at Encore Recordings.


  • Co-owner

    Nate is a recent graduate of Syracuse University where he studied Political Science and Marketing. Nate joined the PLAYDATE. team in 2022 and has since worked as the Chief Operating Officer, head of artist management and head of marketing. Previously, Nate was the Editor-in-Chief at Sheesh Media, and an A&R intern at Artist Partner Group.
